Dr. Shylesh Shetty is amongst the pioneers of microscopic endodontics in India. Dr. Shylesh Shetty practices at "The Root Canal Centre" in Indiranagar and at the "Root Canal Clinic" on Residency Road, Bangalore, endodontic destinations for the quality conscious. Dr. Shylesh Shetty completed his BDS in the year 1999 and went on to do his masters in endodontics. Soon after the completion of his masters in the year 2004, Dr. Shetty held faculty positions at the Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Sciences. Between the years 2004 - 09 Dr. Shetty was a consultant Endodontist at many of central and east Bangalore's leading dental practices. During this period, Dr. Shetty was greatly influenced by his interactions with his peers in the west and mentors in India like Dr. Siju Jacob, who had already embraced the operating microscope as a key tool in endodontics. Realizing that the highest standard of endodontic care required a specialized "Microscope Centered Set" up and was not deliverable as a consultant in a "General Dentistry" set up, Dr. Shetty set up the "Root Canal center"- Bangalore's second exclusive endodontist practice in 2008. Dr. Shetty is also an associate at the "Root Canal Clinic" - South India`s first microscope-centered exclusive endodontic practice, set up by Dr. Siju Jacob in the year 2003. Keen on raising the bar of endodontic standards in India, Dr. Shylesh Shetty and Dr. Siju Jacob are passionately involved in training dentists on the latest advances in endodontic techniques and concepts through lectures and hands-on training at their " Micro- endodontic" training facility in Bangalore.
