Gastroenterologist Hepatologist
Dr Ashok Choudhury has completed his MBBS in 2004 with 3 gold medals, 3 honours and the best graduate of the outgoing batch and finished his MD Internal Medicine from SCB medical college, Utkal University Odisha in 2009. Completed DM in Hepatology ILBS in 2014. He has the capability and skills of performing both upper and lower GI diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with an exposure to ERCPs. He also has experience in hepatic hemodynamics Hepatic Venous Pressure Gradient measurement and transjugular liver biopsies under supervision. He is presently working As Asst Prof of Hepatology and Liver transplantation at ILBS w.e.f September 2014. He is having special interest in liver transplant, chronic liver disease and sepsis, vascular liver disease and Acute on Chronic Liver Failure. He had undergone observership at Kings College Hospital London in liver transplant and critical care under supervision of Prof Julia Wendon and Prof William Bernal.
