Dr Urvashi Prasad Jha has more than 34 years of experience in treating women with gynaecological problems using best clinical practices and protocols. She is adept at performing advanced challenging gynaecological surgeries – using modalities of laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, vaginal and traditional open route of approach. She is nationally recognized by peers for special interest in complex infertility surgery, cancer surgery, endometriosis surgery, surgical procedures for fibroids, ovarian cysts and tumors, genital birth defects via laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, the vaginal route as well as open surgery. She is also recognized for proficiency in menopausal medicine, adolescent gynaecological hormonal disorders including PCOS. She formulated the first 3 national consensus documents and guidelines for the Indian Menopause Society (IMS). She is invited as faculty at Multiple national level and some international academic meetings, CME programmes and workshops. She conducts regular training courses & workshops in basic & advanced laparoscopy, hysteroscopy & vaginal surgery for the RCOG North Zone at Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. She has been the Course Director of regular Hands on basic endo-training course in minimally invasive gynaecology (MIG) at PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai; Apollo Hospital, New Delhi by KJ-AID (1999-2004); Max Hospital (2010) and now at Fortis Flt Lt Rajan Dhall Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi (2011-to date).
