Dr. Rajiv Lochan J is a Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeon at Navachethana Hospital, Bangalore. After graduating from JSS Medical College, he went on to pursue his MS in General Surgery from Bangalore University and was also awarded the First Rank and Gold Medal from the Association of Surgeons of India. Dr. Rajiv also holds a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. After 3 years of work as a research fellow with focused training in HPB and abdominal organ transplantation, he worked as a Specialist Trainee (with a National Training Number) for 5 years at The HPB Unit & Institute of Transplantation at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne which helped him further develop his skills in the field of liver transplantation. Dr. Rajivs clinical interests are in the areas of liver transplantation, management of pancreatic cancer, gallbladder cancer, hepatocellular cancer, surgery of retroperitoneal sarcomas, and acute & chronic pancreatitis.
