After getting his MD degree from Pune University in 1982, Dr Nankar has been working as a Pain Management specialist in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area for last 30 years. He is the founder and Director of Meenakshi Pain Consultant at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. He is also working as a Associate Professor at Bharti Medical College and Hospital, Pune. He is the founder President of ISSP (Indian Society for Study of Pain), Pune City Branch. He has been a pioneer in this field. He has always been trying to get the latest and internationally accepted pain management techniques and equipment for the common man. Many patients from around the country have taken advantage of his services and obtained pain relief. He has given interviews and lectures on pain treatment for the benefit of health loving people which have been telecast on DD, Alfa Marathi, Zee Marathi, Sahyadri TV channels. Under the title 'PAIN RELIEF or VEDANA MUKTI' he organizes exhibitions in Marathi and English using informative leaflets and posters. He has given many lectures and participated in many seminars and symposiums on pain management in various national and international conferences.
