Dr. Uma maheswari is a founding partner and is the active fulltime clinical consultant at Pearl Singapore Fertility Centre and Research Institute, Chennai. She also is a consultant at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai and is heading the Infertility Unit at Lakshmi Health Centre, Mugappair, Chennai. She graduated from Stanley Medical College and completed post-graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at National Board of Examination, Delhi. She has 14+ years of hands on experience in Obstetrices and Gynaecology. She has been in private practice treating infertility patients for almost 11+ years. She has focused her time and efforts serving patients in the western suburbs of Chennai. She was a prime consultant in a renowned reproductive Centre MAARC and had exposure to male infertility. She enhanced her skills in IVF by undergoing advanced training at Center for Reproductive Education and specialist Training (CREST). Dr. Uma maheswari upgraded her Fertility knowledge and leveraged the best practices in this field by doing intense Observership program at Homerton University, London. She acquired extensive experience in IUI, IVF programming, Oocyte retrieval and smooth Embryo transfers. She provides comprehensive and confidential counselling service to all patients undergoing infertility treatment, including those considering IVF for first time and for failed patients who’d like further guidance. She provides support to all IVF patients and recommends pre-treatment counselling to understand the normal effects of treatment so you are best prepared to manage the potential stress and emotional impact of dealing with fertility issues. In addition she performs diagnostic and operative laparoscopic procedures required in this field. She provides personalized prenatal care and ensures healthy babies are born.
