Pathologist
Dr Suvin Shetty is working at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital as a Full-Time Consultant Pathologist and Laboratory Coordinator, Department of Laboratory Medicine in Feb 2008. Before joining the hospital he was on the panel of pathologists for Wellspring – Dr. Phadke’s Lab. Also, he was associated with Guru Nanak Hospital, Bandra, as Chief Pathologist, where he was responsible for the setting-up the Department of Laboratory and Blood Storage Centre and the day-to-day management of the department. He has received special training on ‘Role & Responsibilities of Ethics Committee’ – Mumbai, 2005, ‘Laboratory Quality Awareness’ – Quality Council India, 2006, ‘Laboratory Competence as per ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and Aspects of Internal Audit’, Centre for Electronics Test Engineering, STQC, Pune, ‘Laboratory Quality Management and Internal Audit as per ISO 15189:2007’, Centre for Electronics Test Engineering (CETE), STQC, Bangalore, Government of India, 2009 He received training on ‘Viro Vitals: Annual Course in Medical Virology’, conducted under the aegis of Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing, Mumbai, 2010, and “Reducing Hospital-associated Infections: Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital” – Paper, Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) Congress Delhi, Noida, 2010. He attended training on ‘National Initiative for Patient Safety’, organized by AIIMS in collaboration with WHO, New Delhi, 2011 and ‘NABL Lead Assessor Training Course on ISO 15189:2007’, organized by NABL, 2011 His field of interest is Laboratory Quality Management and Clinical Haematology and Haemostasis.
