Dr. Vijay Mehtry completed his MBBS from the prestigious Mysore Medical College and MD (Psychiatry) from Central Institute of Psychiatry which is a premier institute and tertiary referral center for Psychiatry. He has received training in various aspects of Psychiatry and in Neuro-psychiatric aspects of epilepsy, dementia and headache. In addition, he has worked as Senior Resident at National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. He is a member of several societies including Indian Psychiatric Society, Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India and others. He has been advocating the balanced use of bio-psycho-sociological approaches for treating various psychiatric condition.
