Asmapax Depot Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION
Asmapax Depot Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
SAFE
Asmapax Depot Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
There is limited information available on the use of Asmapax Depot Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION
Asmapax Depot Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Asmapax Depot Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Uses of Asmapax Depot Tablet
Asmapax Depot Tablet is used in the treatment and prevention of asthma.
How to use Asmapax Depot Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Asmapax Depot Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take this medicine 1 hour before or 2 hours after food. You can take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
How Asmapax Depot Tablet works
Asmapax Depot Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ephedrine and theophylline. Ephedrine is a sympathomimetic agonist which works on the blood vessels and increases the blood flow to heart and lungs. Theophylline is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Together, they make breathing easier.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach discomfort, Anxiety, Restlessness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Headache, Increased heart rate.
