WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Cetemed AM Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
No information is available on the use of Cetemed AM Tablet during lactation. Please consult your doctor.
It is not known whether Cetemed AM Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
CAUTION
Cetemed AM Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Cetemed AM Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. May cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Cetemed AM Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Cetemed AM Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Uses of Cetemed AM Tablet
Cetemed AM Tablet is used in the treatment of cough.
How to use Cetemed AM Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cetemed AM Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Cetemed AM Tablet works
Cetemed AM Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cetirizine and ambroxol that relieve cold symptoms. Cetirizine is an antiallergic that treats runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
Common Stomach upset, Dryness in mouth, Fatigue, Dizziness, Sedation, Allergic reaction.
