Uses of Alkof Q Tablet
Alkof Q Tablet is used in the treatment of common cold symptoms.

How to use Alkof Q Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Alkof Q Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Alkof Q Tablet works
Alkof Q Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Guaifenesin, phenylephrine and bromhexine which relieve cold symptoms. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Indigestion, Loss of appetite, Bloating, Diarrhoea, Vomiting, Stomach pain, Dizziness, Headache, Sweating, Rash, Itching, Urticaria, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping).
