Amlong CT Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

Amlong CT Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Amlong CT Tablet may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.

Kidney

Amlong CT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Amlong CT Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Amlong CT Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

Amlong CT Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.

How to use Amlong CT Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Amlong CT Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Amlong CT Tablet works
Amlong CT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and chlorthalidone which lower blood pressure effectively. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Headache, Dizziness, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Decreased potassium level in blood, Decreased blood pressure, Numbness of extremity, Increased blood lipid level, Decreased sodium level in blood, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Increased uric acid level in blood.
