Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).

Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet works
Akt FD 100mg/150mg/267mg/500mg Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol and pyrazinamide which treat tuberculosis. Isoniazid works by preventing the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering, while rifampicin inactivates a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by TB bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Ethambutol and pyrazinamide, on the other hand work by slowing the growth of these bacteria.

Pyrimethamine is a weak base that reaches high concentration within the malarial parasite and causes accumulation of toxic heme pigment, which kills it.
