Apidra 100IU/ml Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Apidra 100IU/ml Injection is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.
CAUTION
Apidra 100IU/ml Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Apidra 100IU/ml Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is recommended for dose adjustment.

How Apidra Injection works
Apidra 100IU/ml Injection is a fast-acting insulin, starts working within 10-20 minutes after injection. It works similar to insulin produced by the body. Insulin facilitates reuptake of sugar in muscle and fat cells and also suppresses the production of sugar in the liver.

Apidra helps to control blood sugar level and avoids long-term complications. You should continue to exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet, and take your other diabetes medicines along with Apidra. Take Apidra 15 minutes before a meal or within 20 minutes after starting a meal. Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) is a common side-effect; learn how to identify and manage its symptoms (sweating, rapid heartbeat, weakness, blurry vision, headache) and teach your family as well. Injection sites must be rotated to prevent hard lumps from developing at one site. Injection below the skin of the abdomen results in faster absorption than other injection sites. Opened vials/cartridge are good at room temperature for up to 4 weeks, while unopened vials must be placed in the refrigerator (2°C–8°C). Do not use if the preparation is no longer clear and colourless, or if it contains particles.
