CAUTION
Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
PROBABLY SAFE
Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
CAUTION
Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
CAUTION
Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension and oedema.
How to use Biduret Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is to be taken with food.Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is usually advised to be taken in the morning.
How Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet works
Biduret - L 2.5mg/25mg Tablet is a combination of two diuretics: Amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide which reduce oedema (swelling). They work by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, hydrochlorothiazide also relaxes blood vessels, but causes potassium loss. Amiloride is added as it conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body.
Common Nausea, Diarrhoea, Vomiting, Headache, Weakness, Glucose intolerance, Muscle cramp, Increased uric acid level in blood, Electrolyte imbalance.
