TIDOMET CR TABLET may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

TIDOMET CR TABLET is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with TIDOMET CR TABLET, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels.

Driving

Do not drive unless you are feeling well.As TIDOMET CR TABLET may cause dizziness, drowsiness, double vision, which may affect your ability to react which may affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

TIDOMET CR TABLET is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of TIDOMET CR TABLET may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

TIDOMET CR TABLET is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

How to use Tidomet Tablet CR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. TIDOMET CR TABLET may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid TIDOMET CR TABLET with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.

How TIDOMET CR TABLET works
TIDOMET CR TABLET is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa which treat Parkinsonism. Levodopa is a dopamine precursor which gets converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that controls movement in the brain. Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor which prevents breakdown of levodopa allowing it to enter the brain and increase dopamine levels.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Vomiting, Dizziness, Sleepiness, Orthostatic hypotension (sudden lowering of blood pressure on standing).
