Crixan 1% w/w Gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Crixan 1% w/w Gel is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
It is not known whether Crixan 1% w/w Gel alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Crixan 1% w/w Gel is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Tell your doctor if you have, or are prone to, fungal infections (e.g. thrush).
Avoid direct contact of the gel/lotion with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water immediately and seek immediate medical attention.

It should not take if patient is allergic to clarithromycin or to any of its ingredient.
