How to use Silofast Capsule
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Silofast 8mg Capsule is to be taken with food.Avoid Silofast 8mg Capsule with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.

How to use Tobramycin
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a marked dropper and take it as directed.

How Silofast Capsule works
Silofast 8mg Capsule is an alpha blocker. It works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily.

How Flurisone T Drop works
Tobramycin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Expert advice for Silofast Capsule
Silofast helps in relieving the symptoms of enlarged prostate. It doesn't decrease the size of the prostate. Silofast must be taken with food. You will feel better within hours or days of starting treatment. Full effect is usually seen within 2 weeks. Silofast may cause you to feel dizzy, faint, lightheaded, or weak, especially when you stand up (orthostatic hypotension). Take special precaution if you have to drive, use machines or do any activity that needs alertness. If your undergoing eye surgery due to cataract or glaucoma, inform your eye doctor about the usage of Silofast. Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.

Expert advice for Tobramycin

Do not use tobramycin if you are allergic to it or any other component in the formulation.
Driving and using machinery should be avoided in cases where tobramycin usage causes dizziness or eye drops cause blurring of vision.
Do not mix or dilute your tobramycin with any other medicine in your nebulizer.
If you are taking several different treatments for cystic fibrosis, you should take them in the following order: bronchodilator (e.g. salbutamol), then chest physiotherapy, followed by inhaled medicines, and then tobramycin.
Do not use contact lenses when on treatment with tobramycin eye drops.
If you are using more than one eye drop, keep a gap of at least 5-10 minutes between two different eye drops.
Doctor’s advice should be considered in case of patients with following history of disease conditions: neuromuscular disorders such as parkinsonism, myasthenia gravis (characterized by movement disorders and/or muscle weakness); coughing up blood in your sputum; kidney problem.
Inform your doctor if you have ever experienced in the past: ringing in ears, any other problems with hearing, dizziness while taking tobramycin.

Q. Is Silofast better than Tamsulosin?
Silofast and Tamsulosin belong to the same class of drugs and are equally good in relieving the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. However, Tamsulosin commonly causes postural hypotension and dose reduction is not needed in renal disease patients whereas Silofast more commonly causes retrograde ejaculation and its dose may need to be decreased in patients with renal disease.
