CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving

CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney

CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

How to use CTD-M Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet is to be taken with food.

How CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet works
CTD-M 6.25/50 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoprolol and chlorthalidone that help control your blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta blocker that lowers your heart rate. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from your body. This also reduces the risk of a heart attack or stroke.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Fatigue, Headache, Dizziness, Slow heart rate, Increased blood uric acid, Decreased potassium level in blood, Glucose intolerance, Altered blood lipids, Cold extremities, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Increased calcium level in blood.
