CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving

CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney

CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.

CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet is used in the treatment of hypertension.

How to use CTD-L Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet works
CTD-L 25mg/12.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Losartan and chlorthalidone which lower blood pressure effectively. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Altered taste, Stomach upset, Diarrhoea, Headache, Weakness, Dizziness, Increased blood uric acid, Increased blood lipid level, Electrolyte imbalance, Glucose intolerance, Decreased blood pressure.
