Coxter 2E Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Coxter 2E Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Coxter 2E Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Coxter 2E Tablet occasionally causes sight problems and tingling or numbness in hand or feet. After taking this medicine you should not drive until you know how it affects you.
Coxter 2E Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Coxter 2E Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Kidney function tests are advisable before the start of this medicine.

How to use Phenylpropanolamine
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Synabron DC Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.Avoid Synabron DC Syrup with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Coxter 2E Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Avoid Coxter 2E Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Coxter 2E Tablet works
Coxter 2E Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Rifampicin, isoniazid and ethambutol which treat tuberculosis. Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by TB bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce, while isoniazid prevents these bacteria from forming their own protective covering. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Ethambutol, on the other hand works by slowing the growth of these bacteria.

Common Nausea, Vomiting, Rash, Fever, Dark colored urine, Sweating, Increased sputum production, Salivation, Teary eyes, Increased liver enzymes, Jaundice, Visual impairment, Increased uric acid level in blood, Gout, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand).
Expert advice for Phenylpropanolamine
Do not continue phenylpropanolamine for more than 7 days if your condition does not improve or if you have high fever.
Tell your doctor if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, liver or kidney disease, diabetes, prostate enlargement or visual problems due to increased pressure in the eyes (glaucoma).
Seek immediate medical attention and discontinue medication if you experience difficulty in breathing, sudden swelling or skin reactions, fits, rapid heartbeat or hallucinations.
Use with caution if you are a woman or an elderly patient. Woman may be at a higher risk of haemorrhagic stroke (bleeding in the brain).
Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy or drowsy after taking phenylpropanolamine.
Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Do not take if allergic to phenylpropanolamine or any of its ingredients.
