Donep 5mg Syrup is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Alzheimer’s disease may impair your ability to drive unless your doctor tells you that it is safe to do so. Also, your medicine can cause tiredness, dizziness and muscle cramp.
Donep 5mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Donep 5mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Uses of Donep Syrup
Donep 5mg Syrup is used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and dementia in Parkinson's disease.It should be used in patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.
How to use Donep Syrup
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Donep 5mg Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Donep Syrup works
Memory loss in Alzheimer’s disease is due to disturbance of message signals in the brain. Donep 5mg Syrup works by increasing the levels of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger involved in the transmission of nerve signals.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Loss of appetite, Fatigue, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Diarrhoea, Muscle cramp.
Expert advice for Donep Syrup
Do not take donepezil hydrochloride, if you are allergic to donepezil hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.Â
Avoid using donepezil hydrochloride, if you are breastfeeding.
Doctor’s advice should be considered in case of patients with following history of disease conditions: stomach or duodenal ulcers; seizures (fits) or convulsions; heart condition (irregular or very slow heart beat); asthma or other long term lung disease; liver problems or hepatitis; urine or mild kidney disease.
Do not use donepezil hydrochloride, if you are pregnant.Â
Donepezil hydrochloride is not intended for use in children and adolescents younger than 18 years.
Donepezil hydrochloride should not be taken with alcohol because alcohol may change its effect.
Do not drive or operate machinery.
