Deriform 12mcg Respules may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Deriform 12mcg Respules is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Deriform 12mcg Respules may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Deriform 12mcg Respules is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Deriform 12mcg Respules may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Deriform 12mcg Respules is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder.
How to use Deriform Respules
Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Twist off the top of the respule/transpule and squeeze all the liquid into the nebulizer. It should be used right away after opening.
How Deriform Respules works
Deriform 12mcg Respules is a long-acting bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and makes breathing easier.
Common Tremor, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Headache, Dry mouth, Palpitations, Restlessness, Muscle cramp.
Expert advice for Deriform Respules
Do not use formoterol inhalation to treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
Do not use this drug, if  you are allergic to formoterol.
Never place a capsule in the mouthpiece of the inhaler.
Consult your doctor before taking formoterol, If  you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breast feeding.
It should be taken as an inhaler or nebulizer after clearly following instructions of the doctor and the instructions given in the patient information leaflet in the medication box.

Deriform belongs to a class of medication called long acting beta agonists. It is not a steroid; however it is available in combination with steroids as an inhaler

Formoterol works best if taken before exercising or heavy work and another dose should not be taken in the next 12 hours. It is a long acting drug which is known to be effective for 12 hours in the body

Formoterol fumarate and formoterol fumerate dihydrate are different formulations of formoterol. Budesonide is a steroid which may be prescribed by the doctor along with formoterol. Advair is another long acting beta agonist which is the brand name for salmeterol and fluticasone
