Diabetic dyslipidemia (increased levels of fats in diabetes)
COMPOSITION:
Metformin (1mg) + Glimepiride (500mg) + Atorvastatin (10mg) + Ramipril (NA)

CAUTION
Taking Atorvastatin with alcohol may increase the risk of liver damage.

Diakit 4 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Diakit 4 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.
CAUTION
Diakit 4 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Diakit 4 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.

Uses of Diakit 4 Tablet
Diakit 4 Tablet is used in the treatment of diabetic dyslipidemia.
How to use Diakit 4 Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Diakit 4 Tablet is to be taken with food.Diakit 4 Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken on empty stomach.
How Diakit 4 Tablet works
Diakit 4 Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Metformin, glimepiride, atorvastatin and ramipril. Metformin is a biguanide which decreases the production and absorption of sugar in your body and allows better use of existing insulin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Ramipril is an ACE inhibitor which works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.
Common Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Weakness, Muscle pain, Headache, Cough, Decreased blood pressure, Increased potassium level in blood, Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), Upper respiratory tract infection, Increased liver enzymes.
