Estocin 10mg Eye Ointment is used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye.

How to use Estocin Eye Ointment
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Estocin Eye Ointment works
Estocin 10mg Eye Ointment belongs to a class of medications called as macrolide antibiotics. It works by interfering with formation of essential protein (protein synthesis) thereby preventing the bacteria from growing and reproducing.

Azithromycin eye drops are meant for topical ophthalmic use only. In case of accidental consumption, contact your doctor immediately.  
Be sure to use azithromycin drops for the full course of treatment and avoid prolonged use of azithromycin eye drops as long-term or repeated use may cause a secondary infection.
Discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately if the infection worsens.
Do not wear contact lenses while on azithromycin therapy.
