Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Monitor the breastfed baby’s blood sugar during treatment with Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.
CAUTION
Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
CAUTION
Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

How to use Pioz MF G Tablet SR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet is to be taken with food.Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken empty stomach.
How Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet works
Pioz MF G 1 Forte Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride, metformin, pioglitazone. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from intestines and increases the body's sensitivity to insulin. Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione which also increases the body's sensitivity to insulin.
Common Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Headache, Edema, Weight gain, Anemia, Blurred vision, Bone fracture, Upper respiratory tract infection.
