Uses of Gastabid Tablet
Gastabid 1mg Tablet is used in the treatment of pain due to smooth muscle spasmIt is used in pain due to intestinal and stomach ulcers.

How to use Gastabid Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gastabid 1mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Gastabid Tablet works
Isopropamide Iodide are a class of medication that inhibit parasympathetic nerve impulses by selectively blocking the binding of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine to its receptor in nerve cells. The nerve fibers of the parasympathetic system are responsible for the involuntary movements of smooth muscles present in the gastrointestinal tract. Inhibition here decreases acidity and motility, aiding in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.

Side Effects:

Common Slow heart rate, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Photophobia, Dilatation of pupil, Palpitations, Dryness in mouth, Arrhythmia, Increased heart rate, Constipation, Difficulty in urination, Excessive thirst, Loss of accommodation, Reduced bronchial secretions, Dry skin.
