Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Monitoring of the breastfed infant's blood glucose is advisable during maternal therapy with Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet

Driving

Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is low or high. If this happens, do not drive.

Kidney

Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels which may become normal after a long time.

How to use Sugamet MC G Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken on empty stomach.

How Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet works
Sugamet MC G 2 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Metformin, glimepiride and methylcobalamin which treat diabetic nerve disease. Metformin is a biguanide which decreases the production and absorption of sugar in your body, and allows better use of existing insulin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Methylcobolamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Altered taste, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Headache, Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level), Upper respiratory tract infection.
