G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.There may be a possibility of skin rash in the baby
It is not known whether G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

How G Kelfin 25 mg/500 mg Tablet works
Pyrimethamine is a weak base that reaches high concentration within the malarial parasite and causes accumulation of toxic heme pigment, which kills it.
Common Abnormal bruising, Abnormal skin pigmentation, Anemia, Change in blood test results, Dizziness, Headache, Vomiting, Weakness, Diarrhoea, Nausea.

Pyrimethamine when given with sulphonamide, it should be given with folic acid (vitamin) supplement.
Do not use pyrimethamine if you are allergic to pyrimethamine or any other ingredient.
Do not take pyrimethamine if you have megaloblastic anemia due to folate deficiency.
Do not take pyrimethamine if you have kidney or liver problems; fits (seizures); depression; bone marrow problems; stomach or bowel problems (eg, malabsorption syndrome); phenylketonuria, or alcoholism.

Do not take further dose of taking sulfamethoxazole and consult your doctor at the first appearance of a skin rash, sore throat, fever, muscle, joints, bone pain or stiffness (arthralgia), cough, shortness of breath or jaundice.
Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight and wear sunscreen when going out.
Drink adequate water during sulfonamide therapy.
Do not start or continue the sulfamethoxazole tablets and consult your doctor If  you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
