WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Phenergan Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Phenergan Injection is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.For prolonged use and repeated doses of Phenergan Injection, observe the baby for excessive sleepiness.
Phenergan Injection may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Phenergan Injection is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Phenergan Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.However, caution is advised in patients with severe kidney disease as it may cause excessive sleepiness in them.

Phenergan Injection is used in the treatment of nausea, vomiting and allergic disorders.It is also used for short-term treatment of insomnia (difficulty sleeping) in adults and as a sedative in children aged 5 years and above.

Q. Can I take promethazine with Nyquil/ codeine and ibuprofen/ Tylenol/ oxycodone/ Benadryl/ Dayquil/ Zofran/codeine and Nyquil/Xanax?
Yes, but taking other medicines may alter the effects of promethazine. Always consult your doctor for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required

No, it does not contain codeine in it
