Uses of Repoitin Injection
Repoitin 2000IU Injection is used in the treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease and anemia due to chemotherapy.

Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.

How Repoitin Injection works
Repoitin 2000IU Injection is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA). It works by stimulating the bone marrow (soft tissue inside the bones which produces red blood cells) to produce more red blood cells.

Side Effects:

Common Increased blood pressure, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever.

Expert advice for Repoitin Injection
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of blood disorders, cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you experience chest pain, breathing problems, sudden/severe headache, or difficulty with vision, speech, or walking. Requires regular BP monitoring. Requires weekly haemoglobin(Hb) level monitoring when treatment starts and monthly thereafter. Hb level should not exceed 1 g/dL in any 14-day span. Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better.

Q. How should Repoitin be stored?
In the hospital, pre-filled syringes are stored unopened in a refrigerator between 2 and 8 degrees centigrade. If you are using at home, it is important that the pre-filled syringe is stored in your refrigerator although not in the freezer compartment. It should not be frozen. Allow the pre-filled syringe to reach room temperature prior to using it. This usually takes between 15 and 30 minutes. Repoitin pre-filled syringes that are being used or about to be used can be kept at room temperature (not above 25°C) for a maximum single period of 7 days. Pre filled syringes should be protected from light.

Q. What to do if you use too much Repoitin?
Tell the doctor or nurse immediately if you think too much Repoitin has been injected.

Q. When should Repoitin not be used?
Repoitin should not be used:- 1) after the expiry date on the label, 2) if the seal is broken, 3) if the liquid is colored or you can see particles floating in it, 4) if you know, or think that it may have been accidentally frozen & 5) if there has been a refrigerator failure.
