Ifoxan + Mesna Injection may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Ifoxan + Mesna Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Ifoxan + Mesna Injection is unsafe to use during lactation. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.
Ifoxan + Mesna Injection may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Ifoxan + Mesna Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ifoxan + Mesna Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Uses of Mesna
Mesna is used to prevent ifosfamide-induced hemorrhagic cystitisIt is not for use to reduce the risk of blood in the urine due to other medical conditions.
How to use Mesna
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
How Ifoxan + Mesna Injection works
Mesna helps to reduce the risk of inflammation and bleeding in the bladder, who receive ifosfamide (a medicine used to treat cancer).
Common Nausea, Headache, Lightheadedness, Lethargy, Abdominal pain, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Diarrhoea, Rash, Fever, Flu-like symptoms.
Expert advice for Mesna
Drink at least 1 litre of fluid daily while you are receiving mesna.
Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe allergic reactions like rash, itching, breathing difficulty, chest tightness, and swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue while taking mesna.
Do not drive or operate machinery as mesna may cause drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, or light headedness.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
You will be monitored for blood or protein in urine during the treatment of mesna.
Do not take if allergic to mesna or any of its ingredients (thiol containing compound)
