Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.

Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
It is not known whether Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
CAUTION
Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Cefepime is used in the treatment of bacterial infectionsIt is used for short-term treatment of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin and soft-tissue, blood, abdomen, genital and lungs (pneumonia). It is also used to prevent infections after surgery.

Cefepime is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body.
Common Rash, Itching, Nausea, Vomiting, Headache, Fever, Diarrhoea.

Your doctor has prescribed Cefepime to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Discontinue Cefepime and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. If you're on blood thinners, Cefepime can interact with your medications and increase your bleeding tendencies.

How Tazowok 1000 mg/125 mg Injection works
Tazobactum blocks the action of the enzymes produced by bacteria to inactivate the antibiotics.
Common Increased liver enzymes, Bruise, Bleeding, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Altered taste, Shortness of breath, Flatulence, Headache, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Itching, Skin rash, Stomach upset, Vomiting.
Expert advice for Tazobactum
It is given as an infusion (a drip for 30 minutes) into a vein.
Tell the doctor if you have to provide a blood or urine sample for any test because tazobactam and piperacillin may cause false positive results.
Do not start or continue the tazobactam/piperacillin and consult your doctor:
If you are suffering from diarrhea before, or during the treatment with the drug.
If you have kidney or liver problems, low levels of potassium in the blood, or are receiving hemodialysis.
If you develop new or worsening infection, or fits (convulsions) during the treatment.
If you are on a controlled-sodium diet.
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
