CAUTION
Tinidin Infusion may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Tinidin Infusion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION
Tinidin Infusion should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.If a single dose of Tinidin Infusion is used, it is recommended to hold breastfeeding for 12-24 hours to allow the removal of the drug.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Tinidin Infusion may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.
SAFE
Tinidin Infusion is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Tinidin Infusion is recommended.
Tinidin Infusion is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tinidin Infusion may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

How Tinidin Infusion works
Tinidin Infusion is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA.

Always take the complete course of treatment, as advised by your doctor even if you feel better. It may cause side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and a metallic taste in the mouth. If you are using Tinidin in a high dose or for a prolonged time, there is a risk of more side effects, like nerve damage. You should not drink alcohol during or for 48 hours after treatment. You may develop nausea, vomiting, flushing and headache if you take it together. Inform your doctor if you have a liver disease. Your dose may need to be adjusted in severe liver disease.

Tinidin is an antibiotic/anti-protozoal/anti-amoebic drug. It is not a sulfa drug

Tinidin is effective in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. But it is not used for treatment of UTI
Q. Does Tinidin cause yeast infections/diarrhea/cancer?
Prolonged use of Tinidin may cause candida or yeast infections. There is no evidence of Tinidin causing cancer. If you experience any such symptoms, please consult your doctor
Q. Does Tinidin treat Chlamydial or urinary tract infections?
Yes. Tinidin is used to treat Chlamydial infections, but is not effective for treating a urinary tract infection
Q. Does Tinidin affect birth control?
There is no evidence of Tinidin affecting birth control. Please consult your doctor to confirm whether you require a secondary birth control measure while taking Tinidin.
