Meropenem is given as an injection directly into a vein by a doctor or nurse using water for injections or a suitable infusion fluid. Do not start or continue the meropenem and consult your doctor:
If you have kidney or liver problems.

If you experience severe and persistent diarrhea after taking antibiotics.
If you are taking other drugs like probenecid, valproic acid, or oral anticoagulants like warfarin.

Common Vomiting, Nausea, Diarrhoea, Abdominal pain, Jaundice, Abnormal liver function tests, Allergic reaction, Hives, Redness of skin, Ankle swelling, Limb swelling, Difficulty in swalloing, Shortness of breath, Facial swelling, Skin swelling, Tongue swelling, Throat swelling, Injection site bruising, Injection site bleeding, Stomach cramp, Wheezing.
Expert advice for Sulbactam
It is preferentially given as an injection directly into a vein or into a muscle but tablet form is also available.
Tell the doctor if you have diabetes and regularly check your urine for sugar level; ampicillin and sulbactam may cause false positive results.
Do not start or continue the sulbactam and consult your doctor: If you have asthma, runny nose due to allergy (hay fever), or kidney or gastrointestinal disease especially inflammation of large intestine (colitis), If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding or become pregnant while taking ampicillin and sulbactam.
