Istavel 50mg Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetesIt is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

How to use Istavel Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Istavel 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Istavel Tablet works
Istavel 50mg Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and postmeal sugar levels.

Side Effects:

Common Headache, Upper respiratory tract infection, Hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar level) in combination with insulin or sulphonylurea, Nasopharyngitis.
