Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Do not drive unless you are feeling well.You may feel dizzy or faint, have problems with vision or have other side effects that could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet is used in the treatment of tuberculosis.

How to use Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.Avoid Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet works
Rifacept 3 Kid Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Pyrazinamide, isoniazid, rifampicin and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) which treat tuberculosis (TB). Pyrazinamide works by slowing the growth of TB bacteria. Isoniazid prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering, while rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by these bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is added to prevent nerve damage which may be a side effect of isoniazid.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Vomiting, Rash, Fever, Dark colored urine, Sweating, Increased sputum production, Salivation, Teary eyes, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Increased liver enzymes, Jaundice, Increased uric acid level in blood.
