Levasme Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
PROBABLY SAFE
Levasme Syrup is probably safe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Levasme Syrup is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Levasme Syrup may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
CAUTION
Levasme Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Levasme Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Levasme Syrup is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Levasme Syrup should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Levasme Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Levasme Syrup in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
Uses of Levasme Syrup
Levasme Syrup is used in the treatment of nasal allergy symptoms.
How to use Levasme Syrup
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Levasme Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Levasme Syrup works
Levasme Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Montelukast which relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which treats allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways and nose, and improves your symptoms.
Common Nausea, Diarrhoea, Vomiting, Dryness in mouth, Headache, Skin rash, Flu-like symptoms, Fatigue, Sleepiness.
