Uses of Lopide Tablet
Lopide Tablet is used in the treatment of diarrhoeaIt should not be used in patients with dysentery (diarrhea with blood).

How to use Lopide Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lopide Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Lopide Tablet works
Lopide Tablet is an anti-diarrhoeal medication. It works by decreasing contraction of the intestines which makes stools more solid and less frequent.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Headache, Constipation, Flatulence.

Expert advice for Lopide Tablet

Consult your doctor if you have diarrhea lasting for more than 48 hours.
Don't use if you have blood in your stool or it's dark or black in color.
The drug can make you dizzy or drowzy. Avoid driving or operating any heavy machinery when taking this drug.
Try to drink plenty of fluids. Having diarrhea can make you dehydrated.
Do not take loperamide if you are allergic to it.
Do not take this drug if you have blood in your stools or if your stools are dark or black in colour.
Do not take this drug if you are severly constipated.
