Lotenase Nasal Spray is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.To reduce the amount of Lotenase Nasal Spray that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.
Lotenase Nasal Spray may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.

How to use Lotenase Nasal Spray
Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray away from the cartilage diving the two sides of your nose and toward the sides of your nostril. As you spray, breath gently and keep the head upright. Repeat in the other nostril.
How Lotenase Nasal Spray works
Lotenase Nasal Spray is a topical steroid (anti-inflammatory medicine). It works by stopping the release of certain natural substances in the eye that are responsible for pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Common Eye discharge, Dry eye, Teary eyes, Foreign body sensation in eyes, Eye redness, Burning sensation around the eyes.

Your doctor has prescribed Lotenase for the relief of post-operative eye pain and inflammation. Do not use Lotenase for more than the prescribed duration (1 weeks, post-operative) as it may cause glaucoma or secondary infection. Notify your doctor if you recently had herpes or chicken pox. Take care to prevent contact of eye dispenser with eye, eyelid, eyelashes, or finger to avoid infection. Avoid wearing contact lenses after surgery and while using Lotenase. It is a steroid medicine which works well for many different conditions, including serious illnesses. Take regularly to gain maximum benefit. Do not discontinue unless advised by your doctor. You may need to decrease the dose gradually. You may get side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems. Notify your doctor if you get them. Some side effects may occur after weeks or months. These include weakness of arms and legs, or developing a rounder face. Your risk of getting an infection may become higher. Tell your doctor immediately if you have a fever, flu-like symptoms, cough, painful urination, or a wound that does not heal.
