Metadrate Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Metadrate Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

Metadrate Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Metadrate Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Metadrate Tablet is used in the treatment of acidity, nausea and vomiting.

How to use Metadrate Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Metadrate Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Metadrate Tablet works
Metadrate Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metoclopramide and magaldrate. Metoclopramide is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Magaldrate is an inorganic salt that neutralizes the excess acid in the stomach.

Side Effects:

Common Diarrhoea, Altered taste, Weakness, Sleepiness, Restlessness, Tremor, Parkinson-like syndrome, Depression.
