Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
CAUTION
Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Pepsigard P Suspension
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension is to be taken empty stomach.
How Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension works
Pepsigard P 5 mg/500 mg Suspension is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and sucralfate. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Sucralfate is is an ulcer medication which covers the damaged ulcer tissue in the stomach and protects it against acid or injury to facilitate healing.
