CAUTION
Taking metformin with alcohol can cause lactic acidosis and you may experience malaise, respiratory distress, slow or irregular heartbeat, sleepiness, stomach upset, or other unusual symptoms.

Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.

Please consult your doctor.Metital Tablet SR is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

How to use Metital Tablet SR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Metital Tablet SR is to be taken with food.Metital Tablet SR may cause stomach upset if taken on empty stomach.
How Metital Tablet SR works
Metital Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Metformin and myoinositol which treat polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in females. Metformin is an antidiabetic medicine which helps regulate hormones in PCOS by balancing insulin levels. This effect leads to more regular menstruation and ovulation cycles. Myo inositol is a naturally occurring messenger which ensures proper binding of insulin to its receptors and regulates the signaling that follows the binding process. Like this, it improves body’s response to insulin, and improves hormone balance.
