Oxcarb 450mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Oxcarb 450mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Oxcarb 450mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.Baby should be monitored for excessive sleepiness and weight gain.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Oxcarb 450mg Tablet may make you feel sleepy or dizzy, or may cause blurred vision, lack of muscle coordination, especially when starting treatment or increasing the dose. This may affect your driving ability.
Oxcarb 450mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Oxcarb 450mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Oxcarb Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Oxcarb 450mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Oxcarb Tablet works
Oxcarb 450mg Tablet is an antiepileptic medication. It controls seizures or fits by decreasing the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Oxcarbazepine can increase the sedative effects of Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or Xanax (alprazolam) or tramadol. Also, tramadol has a propensity to induce fits, which can compromise the effect of oxcarbazepine. Oxcarbazepine and anti-epileptic lamotrigine when used together can increase the risk of side-effects like nausea, somnolence, dizziness and headache. There are no known interactions between oxcarbazepine and Advil (ibuprofen), Aleve (naproxen) or Tylenol (paracetamol). Always inform your doctor if any of these drugs are required to be taken concomitantly by you
