Modafil 100mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION
Modafil 100mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Patients with abnormal levels of sleepiness who take modafinil should be advised that their level of wakefulness may not return to normal, so they should avoid driving.
Modafil 100mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Modafil 100mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Modafil 100mg Tablet is used in the treatment of narcolepsy.
How to use Modafil Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Modafil 100mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Modafil Tablet works
Modafil 100mg Tablet modulates the levels of chemical messengers in the brain and exerts a stimulant effect to reduce extreme sleepiness.
Common Headache, Nausea, Nervousness, Anxiety, Dizziness, Blurred vision, Palpitations, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Sleepiness, Abdominal pain, Irritability, Dyspepsia, Increased liver enzymes, Abnormal thoughts, Depression, Tachycardia, Decreased appetite, Diarrhoea, Confusion, Constipation.
Expert advice for Modafil Tablet
Take the drug about 1 hour before you need to be fully alert.
Limit intake of caeffine.
Do not stop the drug suddenly as you can get withdrawl symptoms.
Do not drink alcohol whil taking this drug.
Do not give modafinil to children below 18 years of age.
Do not take the medicine if you are allergic to it or to any other content (e.g. lactose) in the medicine.
Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after taking modafinil as it may cause dizziness or blurred vision.
