WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Neopred 20mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Neopred 20mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Neopred 20mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
CAUTION
Neopred 20mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Neopred 20mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
There is limited information available on the use of Neopred 20mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.
Uses of Neopred Tablet
Neopred 20mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.
How to use Neopred Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Neopred 20mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Neopred Tablet works
Neopred 20mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Skin rash, Balance disorder (loss of balance), Hearing loss.
Expert advice for Neopred Tablet
For oral tablets:
Neomycin tablets are not recommended for children below six year of age.
Some patients (infants, elderly, obese and cystic fibrosis [genetic disorder that affects lungs] patients) may require monitoring of neomycin levels in blood to prevent damage to the ear and kidneys.
Caution is advised in patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease or any disease characterized by muscle weakness, or in patients about to receive general anesthesia.
Caution is also advised in patients who are exposed to loud noise, or patients who have been dehydrated due to diarrhea or vomiting.

No, Neopred does not contain sulfa (sulphonamide group) and the sulphate group present in this drug has no link with sulfa either
