CAUTION
Norflox-TZ Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Norflox-TZ Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION
Norflox-TZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Norflox-TZ Tablet may make you feel drowsy or gives you problems with coordination or sensation (e.g. numbness or weakness). This may affect your driving ability.
CAUTION
Norflox-TZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Norflox-TZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Norflox-TZ Tablet is not advised in patients with severe kidney disease.
Norflox-TZ Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Norflox-TZ Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Uses of Tinidazole
Tinidazole is used in the treatment of bacterial infections and parasitic infections.It is used in infections of the brain, reproductive system, gastrointestinal tract, skin, vagina, and other areas of the body.
How to use Tinidazole
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

Tinidazole is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA.
Common Nausea, Headache, Dry mouth, Metallic taste.
Expert advice for Tinidazole
Always take the complete course of treatment, as advised by your doctor even if you feel better. It may cause side effects like nausea, stomach upset, and a metallic taste in the mouth. If you are using Tinidazole in a high dose or for a prolonged time, there is a risk of more side effects, like nerve damage. You should not drink alcohol during or for 48 hours after treatment. You may develop nausea, vomiting, flushing and headache if you take it together. Inform your doctor if you have a liver disease. Your dose may need to be adjusted in severe liver disease.
Q. Is Tinidazole or Fasigyn an antibiotic/sulfa drug?
Tinidazole is an antibiotic/anti-protozoal/anti-amoebic drug. It is not a sulfa drug

Tinidazole is effective in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. But it is not used for treatment of UTI
Q. Does Tinidazole cause yeast infections/diarrhea/cancer?
Prolonged use of Tinidazole may cause candida or yeast infections. There is no evidence of Tinidazole causing cancer. If you experience any such symptoms, please consult your doctor
Q. Does Tinidazole treat Chlamydial or urinary tract infections?
Yes. Tinidazole is used to treat Chlamydial infections, but is not effective for treating a urinary tract infection

Expert advice for Norfloxacin
Your doctor has prescribed Norfloxacin to cure your infection and improve symptoms. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Discontinue Norfloxacin and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Notify your doctor if you feel pain in your tendons, numbness, or tingling sensations. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
Q. Is Norfloxacin an antibiotic?
Yes, Norfloxacin is an antibiotic and belongs to a class of medicines called fluoroquinolones.
Q. Can I take Norfloxacin with dimenhydrinate?
Norfloxacin can be taken with dimenhydrinate. No drug-drug interactions have been reported between the two. However, this does not mean that interactions cannot occur. Please consult your doctor before taking the two medicines together.
Q. Does Norfloxacin treat chlamydia infections?
No, Norfloxacin is not active against the chlamydia group of organisms, hence it is not used to treat infections caused by chlamydia.

Lactobacillus is a live micro-organism, when given in adequate amount, provides health benefits. It restores the balance of good bacteria (microorganisms) in the intestine that may get upset with the use of antibiotics or due to intestinal infections.

Expert advice for Lactobacillus
Avoid taking Lactobacillus along with steroids (medications that weaken the immune system) as they might increase the chances of getting sick. Notify your doctor if you are pregnant. Notify your doctor if you are breast-feeding. Take Lactobacillus at least 2 hours before or after antibiotics. This is because taking Lactobacillus along with the antibiotics can reduce their effectiveness.Â
