Taking Caffeine+Chlorpheniramine+Paracetamol+Pseudoephedrine with alcohol can cause liver damage.
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Naldecon Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Naldecon Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Naldecon Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Naldecon Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Naldecon Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.Use of Naldecon Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
CAUTION
Naldecon Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Naldecon Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.However, the use of Naldecon Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
Uses of Naldecon Tablet
Naldecon Tablet is used in the treatment of fever, allergic disorders, nasal congestion and sinusitis.
How to use Naldecon Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Naldecon Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.Take it with food if stomach upset occurs.
How Naldecon Tablet works
Naldecon Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Caffeine, Chlorpheniramine, Paracetamol, and Pseudoephedrine which relieve cold symptoms. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Caffeine increases the effectiveness of paracetamol and makes you more alert. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Common Nausea, Dizziness, Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping), Sleepiness, Allergic reaction, Nervousness, Restlessness, Headache.
