Diazepam is used in the treatment of short term anxiety, epilepsy, muscle spasms and alcohol withdrawal.
How to use Diazepam
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Parexel Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Parexel Tablet works
Diazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

If you are taking Diazepam for the treatment of insomnia and anxiety, it should not be used more than 4 weeks. It may become less effective over the time. It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Diazepam, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness. This medication may impair your thinking or alertness. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercise and in hot weather. Dicyclomine can decrease your sweating, which can lead to heat stroke in a hot environment.
Avoid taking alcohol as it can increase certain side effects of dicyclomine.
Stop using dicyclomine and call your doctor right away if you have serious side effects such as confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior, fast or uneven heart rate, or if you urinate less than usual or not at all.
