How Piat 15 mg/10 mg Tablet works
Piat 15 mg/10 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Pioglitazone and atorvastatin which treat diabetes associated with high blood cholesterol. Pioglitazone is an antidiabetic medicine which works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).
